On April 19, 2016 Tech Networking Party №9 was held within Kyiv Startup Week 2016.

More than 200 guests gathered at Tech Networking Party #7 on November 12. Among them were investors, entrepreneurs, angels, experts, and representatives of state authorities. Not only did our old friends come, but also those new to the IT industry showed up. Isn’t it amazing that the community is growing and expanding! What can be better than bringing together old friends for a night of great music and awesome conversations? Doing the same and getting them to meet even more exciting people! On April, 15, we were glad to invite all the prominent tech industry personalities for Tech Networking Party #5. More than 260 guests from different countries registered for the event. Just like last year, roughly a third of them were business angels and investors. Our guests came from Ukraine, Poland, the USA, Germany, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Turkey and Israel to chat, meet great new entrepreneurs and have some fun. Denis Dovgopolyi, president of GrowthUP business accelerator, established an awesome tradition of honoring significant contribution to the industry with a very special “green” award. Those who needed to set up a private meeting with another party guest, could do so in the matchmaking zone that we’ve set up. The preparations for the party are at full swing! We already have confirmations from many guests from abroad, some of them coming to Ukraine for the first time. To facilitate the communication, we are preparing a catalogue with pictures and contact info of all the participants. A printed copy of the catalogue can be picked up at the party, while digital version, optimized for smartphone and tablet screens, will be available for downloading. We would like to tell you about another opportunity for attendees at Tech Networking Party №5.
We have decided to create the PORTFOLIO TICKET, a new ticket for companies. What does it mean? It means that, upon buying the ticket for the event, companies will be provided an additional opportunity to tell every participant about themselves. More specifically, we plan to place a section called TNP Portfolio in the booklet for participants , where, after paying the current full ticket price, one can place brief information about the company or product. The information will be moderated and you’ll be able to purchase the ticket only after the organizing team makes a decision regarding publication.
Startups which fall under the following criteria, which stipulate that eligible companies must have annual income not exceeding $250 000 and external investments of no more than $250 000, will be able to purchase the placement option for only 50% of the current ticket price.
Information about the product or company shall be sent to email@example.com and shall be not more than 1,000 symbols, including the logo in vector format.
We’d like to present the second addition that we are planning for our next event. Those who have already visited the registration page may have noticed that you must now upload your photo, in addition to providing your name.
This will help us to realize our second idea, which is to offer a booklet with the with names, photos and compnay names of all attendees. The Booklet will be prepared in two formats, .pdf for mobile devices (for 4-5’, 7-8’ and 10’ screens) and in paper form. The electronic version will be sent to all registered participants prior to the event and we’ll provide our guests with the printed booklet at the venue. We hope this will make it easier for you to connect with specific people in the room.
Foreseeing the question: ‘Why such a complicated solution if there are already so many apps for events?’ – we have prepared an answer beforehand: ‘Statistics (misspelled word?) of mobile apps usage do not offer any hope, so we decided to solve the issue in the usual manner.’
We have begun to prepare for our next event and one of our first additions will be a separate Matchmaking Zone.
What and why?
Have you experienced an instance when you catch someone you need at the event, but can’t properly explain who you are and why you initiated the conversation as a result of the crowd? In our Matchmaking Zone, you will have 15 minutes meet in a cozy atmosphere and clarify the subject you are interested in and to try to reach an agreement regarding collaboration.
How to use the Zone?
Monitor the list of guests at the website and when the person you’d like meet registers, please fill in the form.
The Zone will be open for an hour from 7-8 p.m. There will be 4 time slots, each 15 minutes in length, and 5 tables for matchmaking.
We cannot guarantee that the meeting will take place, nor that it will be productive. We only create connections and provide a cozy atmosphere for the meetings to take place.
We are glad to provide our guests with an extra opportunity for productive networking. In this regard, we will continue an experience of a separate Matchmaking Zone, which allows to talk in a cozy atmosphere, based on a preliminary agreement one.
The terms of using the Zone are as follows:
A guest list for the event is updated on a regular basis. The Zone will be open from 7:30-8:30 p.m. We cannot guarantee that the meeting will take place, nor its success. We only initiate create connections and provide a cozy atmosphere for the meetings to take place.
